Given the importance of the industry to the economy of the state of Washington and its deep history here, aerospace is deeply woven in the fabric of our communities. People here are quite likely to look to the sky whenever an airplane passes over and many are able to identify it by the shape of the wing or the number of wheels on the landing gear. Washington is also home to some of the finest aerospace journalists in the industry and they report on its developments with vigilance.
